What is your purpose?
Why are you here?
How do you live your life, in who or what do you put your faith?
Here are some thoughts and quotes from others you might like to ponder or meditate on…
“Whatever our background, our job, our religion, our gender, each one of us has a desire to discover our true identity. ‘What am I’, ‘Who is the real me?’ and ‘Why am I here?’ It can lead to a lot of soul searching.”
“I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. Whether you call it fate or destiny, I don’t believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.”
“The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live.”
“Here is the test to find whether your mission on Earth is finished: if you’re alive, it isn’t.”
“Every person has a unique talent and purpose in life. The challenge we all face is to find out what our talent and purpose is. Once we’ve discovered our purpose, our challenge is then to honour it. You owe it to yourself to be everything that you have been created to be.”
Live in the now…
I believe you will be more at peace if you can let go of the attachments you may have to your past or future (like mistakes or bad memories, or wishing things could be different) instead be at peace in the present.
I think our purpose is to try and reconnect with that essence of us, our candle flame, our soul, only by establishing this connection can we truly connect with those around us.
Strip away all the complications you have taken on board… what’s at your essence that makes you and those around you happy….
That’s you and your purpose.
How do you choose to live your life? What is good and what is bad? What do YOU base your values on and who do you feel you answer to…who has the right to judge you? Who do you find yourself judging?
“I try and see the beauty in everyone I meet, I found the hardest person to see that in was myself…”
“Some people have a strong sense of purpose in their lives, others feel they have none, for me I want to be able to look back on my life and to have lived it, without fear, hate or prejudice, to have lived a good life, a loving life, a life whose purpose was sometimes known, sometimes lost and sometimes found.
A life where, whatever fate has in store for me I accept it and know that what is happening, is happening for a reason, a higher purpose if you like, the success and the failure, the good times and the bad, life and death.”
