Saturday 11th February was a special day for me. It was the day that I made my First Profession of Vows as a Dominican Sister of Saint Catherine of Siena Newcastle Natal.
Our Mass was celebrated at Sacred Heart parish in Blaaubosch. It was a wonderful and joyful occasion. My family, my Mom and Dad my sisters, brothers and some members of my extended family came to celebrate this special occasion with us. Over 40 members of the choir, women, men, young adults and children, from my parish in Colenso also travelled to be with us in Blaaubosch.
Fr. Brian Mahlangu op concelebrated Mass with Fr. Mdudzi Mnchunu OMI .Sisters from other congregations joined with us in thanking God for the gift of my vocation and to witness my profession.
After Mass we all enjoyed the celebratory meal which Sister Finbarr and her team had prepared for us.It was a blessed day indeed and I am truly grateful for all the support that I have received from all of my Sisters and also from my own family. I am happy to call myself a Dominican Sister because I do feel that I belong here. May God bless each one of you for all your good wishes, prayers and gifts. They were very much appreciated. My prayer is that God will bless each one of you in a very special way.
